This sounds indeed weird. I have no idea under what circumstances EE might fail to properly gzip its output.
I’d ask in the EE Support Forums.

I am getting a weird error on a page that I am developing:

When I insert the code for the tagcloud the page does not display at all. In firefox I get a browser-message that I am using “an invalid or unsupported form of compression”.

When I turn off gzip output in the CP the page displays perfectly with the tagcloud.

Alas I would like to keep gzip on, so I can’t display the tagcloud right now.

Any ideas on how to make this plugin out put a list of recently used tags like the one prologue has?

Right now it’s using the build in create_url_title()-Function from EE which doesn’t support Umlauts (only the JS Live update function does).
When 2.0 comes out and I adapt the addon I may change that.

Hi, I really like your module!

I would like to modify it so it outputs a list of the most recently used tags with the number od times used behind it. An “orderby” option would be great.

To bad I don’t know Jack about SQL queries… Maybe you or one of the other readers could help me out?
