Sweet- just saw this one linked to in a FR on the EE forums.  Haven’t tried it out yet, but we’ve seriously been needing a replacement for filter_html which did the same sort of thing but has stopped development and no longer works on everything.

Fantastic! I can’t understand why this plugin isn’t wildly popular. It does exactly what so many people seem to be looking for and surpasses all other EE text-limiters by leaps and bounds.  Thankyou for saving me from unclosed tags and broken pages. smile
